And we're back with something new. Thanks to Stewart, we are getting back into the podcast game, though we are going to do this monthly. Yeah, I know, a monthly podcast. Basically that would mean that we would basically catch you up with an entire month's worth of news in a 30 or so minute show, and thanks to Stewart's wonderful (or infamous) editing skills, we did just that.

The episode basically covers CES and the first few day's of news; and this was recorded a week before the Google incident - but we'll cover it on the next episode, hopefully. See you in February!

Warning: the following episode has a sample rate of 16Khz - blame Stewart or Audacity for the encoding, we hope to fix that in later episodes... hopefully. Show notes after the jump.

The Mebius NJ70A looks like any other netbook, with the same old specs - but this one is different. It has a 854x480, 4-inch, multitouch LCD difference.

Sharp's Designers have completely replaced the traditional touch pad with a multitouch glass screen. Akihabara News gave it a try below, but even their photos, impressions and video leave some questions.

Mebius NJ70A Hands-On: The world first netbook with optical
by AkihabaraNews

For example, is there a another pointing mechanism? Akihabara's fiddling seems to reveals a touchscreen that it like almost any other capacitive panel, which is to so say sensitive, but not overly precise—and certainly not precise enough for typical mousing duties. Unless the center button is touch sensitive, or another section of the OS 9-reminiscent wristrest area has a Synaptics pads hiding out underneath it, the screen like the sole touch input mechanism, rather than a supplementary fun-screen like the Fujitsu LifeBook's. It's also unclear is the screen can be configured as a second monitor.

Although, the specs are the same as any netbook - 1.6gHz Atom Processor - 1GB Ram - 160GB HD - 1024x600 display, 1.3mp webcam. Pricing and release date are unknown, although it looks like to be a japan only product until late may.

[Gizmodo]

Dear Jane, Are you sure this drawing of a spider is the one I sent you? This spider only has seven legs and I do not feel I would have made such an elementary mistake when I drew it.

Hello, I am back and have read through your emails and accept that despite missing a leg, that drawing of a spider may indeed be the one I sent you. I realise with hindsight that it is possible you rejected the drawing of a spider due to this obvious limb ommission but did not point it out in an effort to avoid hurting my feelings. As such, I am sending you a revised drawing with the correct number of legs as full payment for any amount outstanding. I trust this will bring the matter to a conclusion.

I understand and will definately make a payment this week if I remember. As you have not accepted my second drawing as payment, please return the drawing to me as soon as possible. It was silly of me to assume I could provide you with something of completely no value whatsoever, waste your time and then attach such a large amount to it.

By designing a foldable chassis, ASUS has made the TA-F Series easy to carry and transport, providing both experienced users and beginners of the DIY scene with a tools-free design for quick and easy installation. Furthermore, the TA-F Series chassis offers two options for users to choose from, with the TA-F11 in sophisticated black and the TA-F21 in stylish silver.

The tour de force of the TA-F Series foldable chassis lies in its user-friendly design. The TA-F Series chassis calls for a tools-free set-up, featuring screw-less ODD, FDD, HDD holders providing users with easy installation for all hardware drives, with screw eyelet indicators directing users for effortless motherboard orientation.

The news theme was broadcast but a series of advertisements followed it. According to NEWS.com.au, the producer ran to the studio to see that the news reader was on the computer.

By the time the news reader annouced the news, her time was up.

The news reader said that she was having computer problems but 3AW's IT Team found she was on Facebook at the time.

A memo was sent out to all 3AW's members saying not to use Facebook unless its for research.
